The ACCUPRO 14556426 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. Built on the Series 6/44 platform, it features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration and extends tool life at the cutting edge. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance, while the AlTiN+ coating adds thermal protection and lubricity at elevated cutting temperatures. It is a single-end, centercutting tool with a right-hand spiral flute direction and 40-degree helix, suited for slotting, profiling, and ramping operations on machining centers and CNC mills.
This end mill is appropriate for use in job shops, production machining, die and mold work, and precision component manufacturing. The stub-length geometry and straight cylindrical shank make it a practical choice for rigidity in tight-clearance setups. The 0.06 inch corner radius makes it well suited for applications where a full corner break or blend radius is required on finished part edges or floor-to-wall transitions. It is typically installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with steel, stainless, titanium, and hardened alloys.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement corner radius end mill for use in standard 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop tooling procedures. Secure the 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder, torqued to the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the tool for runout after installation before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and coating type.
