The ACCUPRO 14556422 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and four spiral flutes at a 40-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean chip evacuation and stable cutting action in a wide range of machining applications. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at the cutting edge, extending tool life in demanding operations. Micrograin carbide construction gives the substrate high wear resistance and edge retention. This end mill is classified as an extra-long length configuration, with a 1-3/4 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length, suitable for reaching deep features and pocketing operations that shorter tools cannot reach.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual mills across metalworking, tool and die, moldmaking, and general machining environments. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER collets and end mill holders with a 3/8 inch bore. The centercutting geometry allows plunge milling into solid material, giving machinists flexibility for slot milling, profiling, and ramping operations. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional spindle use. It is sold as a single-piece unit.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank end mill holders and ER collet chucks. Part of the ACCUPRO Series 6/44 end mill line.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder before torquing the retention nut to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout at the cutting diameter with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut per pass without verifying chip load and feed rate calculations for the workpiece material.
