The ACCUPRO 14556379 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.25-inch mill diameter and a 0.03-inch corner radius, this tool produces radiused edges that reduce stress concentration and extend workpiece life. The AlTiN+ coating provides high-temperature resistance and improved wear resistance, making it suitable for dry or near-dry machining. It features 4 spiral flutes in a right-hand cutting direction with centercutting capability, allowing plunge entry. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in deeper passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling in metals including alloy steels, tool steels, and hardened materials where corner integrity matters. The 0.75-inch length of cut and 2.5-inch overall length make it practical for shallow-to-moderate depth pocketing, profiling, and contouring operations. It is a single-end, straight-cylindrical shank tool, fitting standard 1/4-inch ER collets and end mill holders without modification. It belongs to ACCUPRO Series 6/44 and is built to a micrograin carbide grade for toughness at elevated cutting speeds.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 1/4-inch straight-shank toolholders or ER collet systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Use a properly sized ER collet or end mill holder torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or contamination before seating to prevent runout that can damage the cutting edge.
