The ACCUPRO 14556372 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 0.25-inch mill diameter with a 0.02-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN+ coating adds thermal and oxidation resistance, making this tool well-suited for high-speed dry or near-dry cutting. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, production environments, and toolrooms are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is applicable in milling operations requiring a radiused corner profile on workpiece features such as pockets, slots, and shoulders. Its stub-length classification and 0.375-inch length of cut make it appropriate for short-reach applications where rigidity is a priority. The single-end, centercutting design allows for plunge entries as well as conventional and climb milling passes. It fits standard 0.25-inch straight-bore tool holders and collet chucks commonly used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 0.25-inch shank corner radius end mills in standard ER, TG, and straight-bore collet systems on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills. No specific OEM model compatibility was stated in the product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before tool changes. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts.
