The ACCUPRO 14556366 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. It features a 3/16 inch diameter with a 0.015 inch corner radius, reducing stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extending tool life compared to a sharp-corner geometry. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. An AlTiN+ coating provides high-temperature hardness and oxidation resistance, making this tool well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting environments. Machinists and toolroom operators working in job shops, aerospace, and precision manufacturing will find this a reliable single-end cutting solution.
This end mill is applied in CNC milling operations where a controlled corner radius is required on internal profiles, pockets, and contoured features. The centercutting design allows for direct plunge entry, adding versatility across finishing and semi-finishing passes. The regular-length 5/8 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length make it appropriate for standard reach applications in vertical machining centers and CNC mills. Its micrograin carbide substrate supports use in harder workpiece materials where edge retention is critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard collets or end mill holders accepting a 3/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the ACCUPRO Series 6/44 corner radius end mill family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
