The ACCUPRO 14556005 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN+, it handles hard materials and elevated cutting temperatures without loss of edge integrity. The tool features a 0.0625 inch mill diameter, a 0.0100 inch corner radius, and a 4-flute spiral configuration with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting action. Overall length is 1.5 inches with a 3/16 inch length of cut. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in tight-tolerance work. Machinists and CNC operators use this end mill for finishing passes where edge geometry and corner definition are critical.
This end mill is suited for small-diameter precision work in milling applications across aerospace, die and mold, and general machining environments. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and is well matched to CNC machining centers performing contour milling, slotting, and profiling on hard alloys, stainless steel, and hardened tool steels where AlTiN+ coating delivers heat resistance and extended tool life. The 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard collets and toolholders common on vertical and horizontal CNC mills.
Designed for use in standard CNC milling applications requiring a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank collet or toolholder. Part of the ACCUPRO Series 6/44 end mill line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, as excessive runout on a small-diameter tool accelerates wear and can cause tool breakage.
