The ACCUPRO 14505813 is a square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this four-flute tool features a 0.5-inch cutting diameter and a 40-degree helix angle that improves chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance, making it well-suited for high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. The spiral flute geometry combined with centercutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into material as well as perform standard peripheral and slot milling. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and use this tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is intended for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where a durable, coated carbide tool is required. The stub-length configuration with a 0.625-inch length of cut keeps the tool rigid and minimizes deflection during aggressive cuts. It fits standard 0.5-inch collets and tool holders used on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual mills. The Series 6/44 designation places this tool within a defined family of stub-length, high-performance carbide end mills suited for general-purpose and production machining.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-purpose cutting tool for use in 0.5-inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC vertical machining centers and conventional milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the tool from the holder. Verify collet or tool holder runout with a dial indicator before use to stay within the shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and machine setup.
