The ACCUPRO 14505809 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding shop environments. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with an AlTiN+ finish, this end mill delivers heat resistance and edge retention in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 7/8 inch length of cut, and a 40-degree spiral helix angle that promotes aggressive chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter and fits standard ER and end mill holders. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose and precision milling applications on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The centercutting geometry allows plunge cutting in addition to peripheral and slotting passes. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional milling setups. With a 2-1/2 inch overall length and a regular-length classification, it fits compact workholding setups and minimizes deflection at depth. It is appropriate for job shops, tool rooms, and production environments targeting consistent dimensional accuracy on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 3/8 inch end mill holders, ER collets sized for 3/8 inch shanks, and side-lock holders accepting straight cylindrical shanks. Part of the ACCUPRO Series 6/44 end mill family.
A licensed machinist or qualified CNC operator should install this tool using a properly torqued collet or end mill holder per the machine tool manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended depth-of-cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and machine spindle horsepower rating.
