This tap is manufactured from powdered metal high-speed steel and coated with titanium nitride (TiN) for improved wear resistance and longer tool life. The plug chamfer with 4 chamfered threads provides a gradual lead-in, making it well suited for general-purpose tapping in a range of workpiece materials.
