The ACCUPRO 125996 is a solid carbide roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. It features three flutes with a chipbreaker geometry and a 0.015 inch corner radius, making it well-suited for hogging out stock while managing chip evacuation. The 5/8 inch mill diameter and 2.5 inch length of cut give it reach for deeper passes in a single setup. Constructed from submicron carbide with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool is built for demanding cutting conditions. It runs in a right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction with a high helix, spiral flute style and variable pitch for vibration reduction.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills across job shop, production, and maintenance environments. It is a single-end tool with a straight cylindrical shank sized at 5/8 inch with an h6 tolerance, compatible with standard ER and side-lock toolholders at that diameter. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry, and no extended reach or coolant-through features are present. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in ferrous and non-ferrous materials will find this tool appropriate for roughing passes where surface finish is secondary to removal rate.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement roughing end mill for use in standard 5/8 inch toolholding systems on CNC or manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank fully into the collet or side-lock holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a new operation, particularly after a tool change.
