The ACCUPRO 125992 is a solid carbide roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built with 3 flutes, a variable pitch, and a chipbreaker geometry, it breaks chips into smaller segments to reduce cutting forces and heat buildup during heavy roughing passes. The 0.03 inch corner radius adds edge strength and helps prevent chipping on the cutting edge. With a high helix, right-hand spiral flute configuration and submicron carbide grade construction, this tool is suited for demanding cuts in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is configured for single-end use with a straight cylindrical shank and is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. The 2.25 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length make it appropriate for medium-depth cavity work, profiling, and roughing passes where chip control is critical. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating buildup is a concern or where the tool will be used on softer alloys. It does not include coolant-through capability, so external flood or mist coolant is the standard delivery method.
Designed as a direct-fit roughing end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/2 inch straight cylindrical shank with h6 shank diameter tolerance.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. The machine spindle must be at a complete stop and the tool changer or collet system fully disengaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify collet or tool holder bore size matches the 1/2 inch shank diameter before clamping. Follow the machine manufacturer torque specifications for collet nut tightening; do not exceed recommended overhang beyond what the application requires, as excessive stick-out reduces rigidity and can cause deflection.
