The ACCUPRO 12465433 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring tight tolerances and fine detail work. With a 0.018-inch cutting diameter and a 0.027-inch length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature contouring, profiling, and slot milling in hard and abrasive materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed at this scale. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on mold cavities, medical components, and precision aerospace features are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for light-duty profiling and finishing passes on hardened steels, aluminum alloys, and engineered plastics where small radii and fine surface finishes are required. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration with a right-hand flute direction makes it a standard fit for conventional CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles running at elevated RPMs appropriate for sub-0.020-inch tooling. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collets and tool holders commonly found in vertical machining centers and CNC routers.
Designed as a miniature-series replacement-style ball end mill compatible with standard 1/8-inch collets and tool holders on CNC vertical machining centers and high-speed spindle systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop-standard tool-change procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool from the collet. At 0.018 inches in diameter, this tool is extremely fragile - avoid side-loading, excessive depth of cut, or runout beyond the specified shank tolerance range, as any of these will cause immediate tool breakage. Confirm collet concentricity and holder cleanliness before clamping to maintain dimensional accuracy at this scale.
