The ACCUPRO 12464828 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in CNC machining applications. With a 0.02-inch cutting diameter and a 4-flute spiral configuration, it delivers fine detail work in tight geometries where larger tooling cannot reach. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides oxidation resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute tool with a 30-degree helix angle and micrograin carbide construction, making it well suited for finish milling, slotting, and contouring in hardened steels, stainless, and exotic alloys. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and medical device manufacturing are the primary users of tooling at this diameter range.
This end mill is used in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and high-speed spindle setups requiring micro-diameter tooling. The 1/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet chucks and ER collet systems commonly found on bench-top and full-size CNC platforms. It is center-cutting, meaning it can be used for direct plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. The 0.03-inch length of cut limits depth of engagement, which is appropriate for delicate, high-precision passes at this diameter. No extended reach or coolant-through features are present on this tool.
Designed for use with 1/8-inch ER or straight-bore collet systems on CNC vertical machining centers and high-speed milling spindles. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC4-AT-CC-30H series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specification. At this diameter, runout control is critical — verify TIR with a dial test indicator before initiating a cut to avoid tool breakage.
