The ACCUPRO 12464452 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineered plastics. With a 0.05-inch cutting diameter and a 0.075-inch length of cut, this stub-length tool is built for rigid, close-tolerance work where deflection control is critical. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding cutting applications. Two flutes with a 30-degree right-hand helix support efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a sharp, stable cutting edge. The bright, uncoated finish makes this end mill well-suited for non-ferrous metals and materials that react poorly to coated tooling. Machinists and toolroom operators select this tool when tight tolerances and small-feature geometry are the priority.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, knee mills, and benchtop milling machines accepting a 0.125-inch shank. The stub-length configuration keeps the tool close to the collet, maximizing rigidity and minimizing runout during high-speed passes. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations in small-part and precision component work. The centercutting geometry also allows plunge entry, adding versatility in multi-axis setups. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling on most mill configurations.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collets or chucks accepting a 0.125-inch diameter shank. Fits standard ER and precision collet systems in that bore size.
Install in a clean, properly sized collet to the recommended gage length before tightening to manufacturer collet-nut specifications. Ensure spindle and collet are free of chips, coolant residue, and burrs before seating the shank. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before committing to a finishing pass, particularly at this small diameter where deflection has an outsized effect on tolerance. Follow your machine tool manufacturer and shop safety guidelines for RPM, feed rate, and coolant selection based on workpiece material.
