The ACCUPRO 12464351 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 0.016 inch cutting diameter and a 0.024 inch length of cut, making it well suited for micro-milling operations where tight tolerances and fine feature detail are required. The two-flute configuration supports efficient chip evacuation in small-diameter applications. An AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other abrasive materials. The stub-length profile adds rigidity, reducing deflection during cut. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in precision manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, and mold and die applications.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and precision mills where small-diameter tooling is required. The 0.125 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet and tool holder systems used in vertical and horizontal milling setups. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for the majority of CNC spindle configurations. The 30-degree helix angle and micrograin carbide substrate support stable cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Stub-length geometry is preferred when workpiece access allows shorter reach, as it maximizes tool stiffness.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and precision milling machines equipped with collet systems or tool holders that accept a 0.125 inch shank diameter. Suitable for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and abrasive alloys where AlTiN coating performance is advantageous.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Micro-diameter end mills are brittle — avoid excessive side load, interrupted cuts without appropriate feed rate adjustments, or tightening collet nuts with improper torque procedures that could cause shank damage.
