The ACCUPRO 12464085 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling of tight-tolerance features, small-radius contours, and intricate 3D profiles. At 0.0360 inches in diameter with a 0.0540-inch length of cut, this tool operates in applications where dimensional accuracy is critical. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, making it suitable for ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys. The micrograin carbide substrate supports edge sharpness and wear resistance. A 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces in shallow, fine-feature passes. This end mill is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators working in tool and die, medical device, aerospace, and precision parts manufacturing.
This miniature end mill is used in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups where small-diameter, close-tolerance work is required. Typical applications include mold cavity detail work, micro-slot milling, and finishing passes on hardened workpiece materials. The single-end, four-flute configuration with right-hand cut and right-hand spiral is standard for finish milling in these environments. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collet and tool-holder setups commonly used for miniature tooling in production and prototype machining operations.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter with standard collet or shrink-fit toolholders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool-change program is in a safe state before mounting or removing this end mill. Use a calibrated collet or toolholder matched to the 1/8-inch shank diameter and confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. At this diameter, tool deflection and runout are critical factors — always follow the tooling manufacturer's recommended speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut guidelines for miniature carbide end mills.
