The ACCUPRO 12463760 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.08 inch cutting diameter and a 0.24 inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in confined areas and fine-detail contouring. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance suitable for demanding materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.125 inch shank diameter, it fits standard miniature toolholders and collet chucks. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation during cutting. Machinists and CNC operators install this end mill for finish passes and small-feature work where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This end mill is suited for small-scale CNC milling centers and manual machines running miniature tooling. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction configuration makes it compatible with conventional right-hand spindle setups. It is typically used in mold and die work, prototype machining, and precision component manufacturing where small diameters and clean profiles are required. The uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and softer alloy steels where coating adhesion is less critical than substrate sharpness.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature series ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard collet systems accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following proper toolholder torque and runout procedures. Ensure the spindle and machine power are fully off before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the recommended gauge length to minimize overhang and chatter. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to misalignment and can fracture under side-load conditions.
