The ACCUPRO 12463553 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature work. Built from micrograin carbide, this tool delivers consistent edge integrity at diameters where tool deflection and breakage are primary concerns. The 0.012 inch cutting diameter and 0.036 inch length of cut make it suited for fine detail passes, micro-slot milling, and contour work in hardened or difficult-to-machine materials. The 30-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation with cutting stability. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary users of this tool class.
This end mill fits applications requiring extreme precision in small part machining, mold and die work, medical component manufacturing, and aerospace detail milling. The single-end configuration and 1.5 inch overall length allow it to seat in standard collet-style toolholders with a 0.125 inch shank bore. Right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flute geometry are standard for conventional CNC vertical milling setups. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and some steels where coating adhesion or thermal sensitivity is a factor.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines equipped with collet toolholders accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter. Part of the ACCUPRO Miniature series for small-feature and micro-milling applications.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated per shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. At this diameter, runout is critical - verify total indicator runout before cutting to minimize premature tool breakage. Always confirm feed rate, spindle speed, and depth of cut are appropriate for the workpiece material and this tool diameter before initiating a program.
