The ACCUPRO 12463531 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling of small-scale features in tight tolerances. With a 0.0050-inch cutting diameter and a 0.0150-inch length of cut (LOC), this tool is built for micro-machining applications where dimensional accuracy is critical. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed at this scale. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation along the spiral flutes. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the tool in its as-ground condition, suitable for non-ferrous and other materials where coating is not required. Machinists and CNC operators working in tool-and-die, medical device, and precision component shops are the primary users of this end mill.
This ball end mill is best suited for finish milling, profiling, and contouring of small cavities and radii where a miniature footprint is required. The single-end configuration and 1/8-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet systems used on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps the tool compact and minimizes deflection during fine detail work. Applications include mold and die work, prototype machining, and precision component manufacturing where sub-0.010-inch features are common.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter collet system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and at rest before inserting or removing the tool from the collet holder. Verify collet size and runout tolerance before securing the shank, as concentricity is critical at sub-0.010-inch diameters. Avoid overtightening the collet nut, which can cause shank deformation on small-diameter tooling.
