The ACCUPRO 12462551 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. The tool measures 0.09 inches in diameter with a 17/64-inch length of cut and a 1/8-inch shank diameter, making it suited for small-feature milling work requiring tight tolerances. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened material cuts. With a 30-degree helix angle, right-hand cutting direction, and two spiral flutes in micrograin carbide, this end mill delivers clean chip evacuation and consistent edge performance. Machinists and tooling specialists install this type of cutter in CNC mills and manual vertical machining centers.
This end mill is intended for small-diameter slot milling, profiling, and contouring in ferrous metals, stainless steels, and other hard materials where AlTiN coating provides thermal protection. The 1-1/2-inch overall length and regular-length classification make it a direct fit for standard toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch shank. It is a single-end, centercutting design, meaning it can plunge directly into a workpiece as well as perform side milling passes. Typical users are machinist trades operating production CNC equipment or precision job-shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills accepting a 1/8-inch diameter shank end mill.
Installation of this end mill is performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing any cutting tool. Secure the shank fully within the collet or toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth and verify runout before running at cutting speeds. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA machine-guarding requirements when operating milling equipment.
