The ACCUPRO 12462409 is a single-end square end mill ground from micrograin solid carbide and intended for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. The cutter measures 3/64 inches (0.0469 inches) in diameter with a 9/64-inch (0.1410-inch) length of cut, making it well suited for fine-detail slot milling, profiling, and pocket work in tight geometries. A 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for a range of workpiece materials where a coating is not required. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC programmers working on manual or CNC milling machines.
This end mill is designed for light-duty, high-precision milling operations where small cutter diameters are required. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and contouring in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand spiral flute configuration suit standard spindle rotation on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders commonly found in production and prototype shops.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch shank end mill compatible with 1/8-inch collets and tool holders used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC2-CC-30H series.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and de-energized before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention mechanism per the tool-holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a test indicator before beginning production cuts, as excessive runout at small diameters accelerates tool wear and can cause breakage.
