The ACCUPRO 12462350 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in CNC machining and manual milling operations. The 0.029-inch cutting diameter and 0.087-inch length of cut make this a micro end mill suited for fine detail work, slot milling, and profiling in tight geometries. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, the tool offers excellent rigidity and wear resistance at small diameters. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for general-purpose cutting where coating buildup at micro scale could affect dimensional accuracy. This tool is installed by machinists and toolroom operators working on precision components.
This end mill is used in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and collet chuck toolholding systems common in production and prototype machining environments. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps the tool compact and reduces deflection at this small diameter, making it suitable for close-tolerance slotting, contouring, and pocketing in aluminum, steel, brass, and similar machinable materials.
Designed as a standard micro square end mill compatible with 0.125-inch collet and ER-style toolholding systems used in CNC and manual milling machines accepting 1/8-inch shank tooling.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool changer or collet system locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Use a calibrated collet or end mill holder with the correct 0.125-inch bore, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as runout at this diameter has a disproportionate effect on tool life and part accuracy. Avoid over-tightening collet nuts, which can distort the shank and induce runout.
