The ACCUPRO 12462294 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of small-detail features. With a 0.014-inch cutting diameter and a 0.042-inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-machining applications where tight tolerances and fine feature resolution are required. The 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1.5-inch overall length suit it to standard collet chucks and high-speed spindles. A 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in production or toolroom environments.
This end mill is suited for fine-detail work in molds, dies, and precision components where small-diameter cutting paths are required. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers. The uncoated micrograin carbide substrate performs well in a range of workpiece materials where coating compatibility or regrinding considerations favor bare carbide. It is classified as a regular-length tool appropriate for general-purpose small-diameter milling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collet or chuck systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or removing the tool. Proper collet seating and torque to the toolholder manufacturer's specification are required to prevent runout. Given the 0.014-inch diameter, extreme care must be taken to avoid lateral loading or tool contact during setup, as micro-diameter carbide tools are brittle and susceptible to breakage under side impact.
