The ACCUPRO 12462280 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries. With a 0.01-inch cutting diameter and a 0.03125-inch (1/32 inch) length of cut, this tool is built for micro-machining applications where dimensional accuracy is critical. It features 2 flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle, and the micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for fine-detail work in metals and engineered plastics. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for materials where coating adhesion or heat sensitivity is a concern. Machinists and toolroom operators are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for CNC milling centers and manual knee mills performing micro-slot milling, engraving, and contour work in small-scale components. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems, and the 1.5-inch overall length provides clearance for most standard tool-holding setups. It is appropriate for use on prototype parts, mold details, medical components, and precision instrument housings where small-diameter cutting is required. The center-cutting design allows plunge entry without pre-drilling.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collet or end mill holders. Fits standard ER and TG collet systems accepting 0.125-inch shank diameters.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool-holding system is clean and free of debris before inserting the end mill. Use the appropriate collet size and torque the drawbar or collet nut according to the machine manufacturer specifications. Given the small diameter, avoid side-load conditions that exceed the tool's rated deflection tolerance, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting.
