The ACCUPRO 12462271 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling of small features in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.007 inch cutting diameter and a 0.021 inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-milling work where tight dimensional control is critical. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and edge retention needed at this scale. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while reducing cutting forces. The bright/uncoated finish makes it suitable for a wide range of base materials without coating-related adhesion concerns. Machinists and tooling specialists install and operate this end mill on CNC machining centers and precision mills.
This end mill is suited for finishing and profiling operations on small, intricate features in mold and die work, medical component machining, electronics hardware, and precision instrument manufacturing. The 0.125 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and collet chuck toolholding systems. Its single-end configuration and regular length make it a straightforward drop-in for micro-slot, micro-pocket, and contour operations where dimensional accuracy at sub-0.010 inch diameters is required. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle operation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and precision mills accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter end mill.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with CNC mill setup. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine is in a safe state before loading or removing tooling from the collet or chuck. At this diameter, runout control is critical — use a high-precision collet or shrink-fit holder and verify TIR before cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
