The ACCUPRO 12305009 is a single-end square end mill ground from solid micrograin carbide and intended for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineered material applications. It carries a 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch decimal) cutting diameter with a 0.562 inch length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The four-flute geometry delivers a superior surface finish compared to two-flute designs while maintaining adequate chip clearance. The bright, uncoated finish makes this tool well suited for non-ferrous metals and general-purpose milling where a coating is not required. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this type of cutter.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines where small-diameter precision cutting is required. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders commonly found in both production and job-shop environments. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute spiral are the conventional configuration for most vertical milling setups. The 2 inch overall length provides adequate reach for typical slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling tasks without excessive deflection at this diameter. Center-cutting capability allows the tool to be used for plunge entry as well as side milling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines that accept a 3/16 inch round shank in ER or comparable collet systems. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC4-CC-30H series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully powered down and locked before tool changes. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut to the machine manufacturer's specification — do not use a numeric value not confirmed for your specific holder. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout at this small diameter accelerates wear and can cause tool breakage. Follow shop safety practices and applicable OSHA standards for rotating cutting tools.
