The ACCUPRO 12277159 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for precision milling in tight geometries and miniature-scale work. The cutter measures 0.034 inches in diameter with a 0.051-inch length of cut and a 1.5-inch overall length. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets used on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle provide efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action at high RPM. The micrograin carbide substrate offers the hardness and wear resistance needed for accurate, repeatable cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing operations in die and mold work, micro-component machining, and detail profiling where small-radius contours are required. The bright uncoated finish makes it a straightforward choice for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and graphite, where coating adhesion or reactivity is a concern. Machinists working with miniature parts, intricate cavity work, or fine-detail engraving will find this tool sized appropriately for those applications. It is a single-end tool, meaning the cutting geometry is on one end only.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill compatible with CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch collet or tool holder.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Secure the 1/8-inch shank in a clean, properly sized collet or tool holder to the torque specification recommended by the collet manufacturer; do not use worn or oversized collets with miniature-diameter tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout at this diameter will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish. Follow your facility's safe tool-handling procedures when measuring or storing carbide end mills.
