The ACCUPRO 12277145 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a very small cutting diameter. With a 0.0200-inch mill diameter and a 0.0300-inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work in tight geometries. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finish. Constructed from micrograin solid carbide, the tool delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding cuts at small scales. The bright, uncoated finish suits a wide range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and precision CNC operators are the primary installers of this tooling.
This ball end mill is suited for 3D contouring, slotting, and finishing passes in mold work, die making, medical device components, and other tight-tolerance applications where small feature detail is critical. The miniature series designation indicates it is purpose-built for micro-scale milling rather than general-purpose stock removal. The single-end design allows direct installation into standard collet systems accepting a 1/8-inch shank. It is appropriate for use on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles capable of running small-diameter tooling at elevated RPM.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in standard collet holders and tool chucks accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter, typical in CNC machining center applications.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and the machine control in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety protocols. Use a properly sized, clean collet or tool holder to ensure accurate runout; contamination or a worn collet will magnify runout error significantly at this diameter. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings before engaging the cut, as small-diameter carbide tooling is sensitive to deflection and breakage at incorrect parameters. Handle with care to avoid chipping the cutting edges.
