The ACCUPRO 12277021 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.012-inch cutting diameter and a 0.018-inch length of cut, this micro end mill is built for fine detail work in hard and abrasive materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed at sub-millimeter cutting diameters. Four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for aluminum, copper, and other non-ferrous materials where coating buildup is a concern. Licensed machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working on precision components rely on this style of tool.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and high-speed spindle applications where tight tolerances and small feature sizes are required. Typical applications include micro-slot milling, engraving, circuit board work, medical device components, and fine detail work in mold and die. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows it to fit standard collet systems without a reducer. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps runout low and maintains rigidity at the cutting edge. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration with centercutting capability for plunge entry.
Designed as an OEM-style tooling solution for CNC machining centers and vertical mills using standard 1/8-inch collet or toolholder systems. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC4-CC-30H series of solid carbide square end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the 1/8-inch shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and tighten to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. At micro diameters, runout and tool projection length have a significant effect on tool life and surface finish — minimize overhang and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting.
