The ACCUPRO 12276793 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.016-inch cutting diameter and a 0.048-inch length of cut, this micro end mill is built for tight-tolerance work in hardened materials and intricate part geometries. The four-flute, right-hand spiral design provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required at this scale. A 30-degree helix angle helps reduce cutting forces on fine features. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC programmers working with precision components across aerospace, medical device, and general tooling applications.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and finish milling operations where extremely small cutter diameters are required. The 1/8-inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard collets and tool holders found on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. The single-end configuration and 1.5-inch overall length provide a compact setup for shallow-reach operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch straight shank collet or tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the recommended engagement depth in the collet and torque the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specification. At micro diameters, verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating cuts, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and breakage.
