The ACCUPRO 12185438 is a solid carbide roughing finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal and semi-finish passes in a single tool. The 3/4-inch diameter, 4-flute design with a chipbreaker geometry breaks chips into smaller segments to reduce cutting forces and heat buildup, extending tool life in demanding cuts. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth, efficient cutting and helps evacuate chips from the cut zone. Micrograin solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for harder workpiece materials. This tool is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration with a straight shank.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in job shops, production machining environments, and tool rooms where operators need to combine roughing and semi-finishing in fewer passes. The square end geometry produces sharp, defined shoulder profiles. It is installed in standard 3/4-inch straight-shank toolholders, collet chucks, or end mill holders on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals and plastics where coatings may cause adhesion issues, as well as for general-purpose ferrous applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for standard 3/4-inch straight-shank toolholders, including collet chucks and end mill holders used on vertical machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a machinist or tooling technician familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in E-stop or lockout state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the minimum clamp depth recommended by the holder manufacturer to prevent pullout under load. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use.
