The ACCUPRO 12185219 is a double-end square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) finish, this tool delivers extended wear resistance and reduced friction at the cutting edge. It features a 40-degree helix angle with right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flutes. Four flutes provide a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The 0.2500-inch cutting diameter and 0.5000-inch length of cut make it well suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring in tight-tolerance applications. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills across general metalworking, tool-and-die, mold making, and maintenance machining environments. The stub-length classification keeps the tool rigid and minimizes deflection during aggressive side milling passes. Its double-end design provides a second usable cutting end when the first end reaches end of life, extending tool value in production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities are the primary users.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 1/4-inch diameter collet holders, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks used in CNC machining centers and conventional vertical milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in an e-stop state before changing tooling. Seat the 0.2500-inch shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retaining nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning the first cut, and confirm depth-of-cut and feed rate settings match the material and coating recommendations before engaging the workpiece.
