The ACCUPRO 12185204 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. This double-end, stub-length tool features a 0.1969-inch (5 mm) mill diameter and a 0.3937-inch (10 mm) length of cut, with 4 spiral flutes ground to a 40-degree helix angle for aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating extends tool life and reduces friction on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance in demanding cutting conditions. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating CNC mills, knee mills, and machining centers.
This stub-length square end mill is suited for general-purpose profiling, slotting, and contouring in a shop or production environment where a compact reach and stiff tool body are required. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional and climb milling on typical vertical machining setups. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending service life between tool changes. Applications include mold and die work, part production, and fixture fabrication across steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar machinable materials.
Designed as a standard shank square end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and side-lock holders sized for a 0.2362-inch (6.00 mm) shank diameter on CNC and manual milling machines.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists following standard toolroom safety practices. Ensure the machine spindle is fully de-energized and locked out before loading or removing the end mill from its holder. Verify holder bore diameter matches the 0.2362-inch shank before seating, and confirm runout with a dial indicator after tightening to minimize premature wear. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut being used.
