The ACCUPRO 12185203 is a double-end, square-profile solid carbide end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It measures 0.1969 inches (5.00 mm) in cutting diameter with a 0.3937-inch (10.00 mm) length of cut, a 6.00 mm shank diameter, and an overall length of 63.00 mm. The 4-flute, 40-degree helix spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at higher feed rates. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance finish passes. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
The 12185203 is suited for stub-length milling applications where rigidity is a priority over reach. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole, making it practical for pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry are standard for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. The uncoated finish makes this tool a straightforward choice for general-purpose applications where coating is not required by the material or process specification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked before tool changes. The shank should be seated to the full recommended grip length in a collet or end mill holder, and runout should be verified with a dial indicator before commencing cutting. Shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches; confirm holder bore compatibility before mounting. Never exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
