The ACCUPRO 12185195 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. This double-end tool features a 0.1772-inch (4.5 mm) cutting diameter, a 0.374-inch (9.5 mm) length of cut, and a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating that improves wear resistance and surface hardness compared to uncoated carbide. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With four spiral flutes and a right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration, it is suited for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and side milling. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tighter tolerances and finer edge geometry. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill is built for stub-length applications where rigidity and reduced deflection are priorities. The 0.2362-inch (6.0 mm) shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The centercutting geometry allows plunge cuts in addition to peripheral and slot milling. Typical materials include ferrous metals, stainless steels, hardened alloys, and other materials where TiCN coating provides a performance advantage over uncoated or TiN-coated tooling. The double-end design extends tool life by providing a second usable cutting end.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks, ER collets, and end mill holders accepting a 0.2362-inch shank diameter, commonly used on CNC machining centers and knee mills across a range of makes and configurations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines for tool holding and runout tolerances. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before changing tooling. Confirm collet or holder bore size matches the 0.2362-inch shank diameter and that the tool is seated to the recommended engagement depth. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before use; do not run a chipped or damaged end mill.
