The ACCUPRO 12185192 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, alloy, and composite materials. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it carries a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating that reduces friction and extends tool life in abrasive cutting environments. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends, improving cost efficiency per edge. With a 40-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups.
This end mill fits standard stub-length applications where rigidity and reduced deflection are priorities. The 11/64 inch (0.1719 inch) diameter and 3/16 inch shank suit smaller-diameter toolholders commonly found on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and tool room mills. The 5/16 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length make it well suited for shallow-to-moderate depth passes in precision machining, die work, and detail milling where tight tolerances are required. Machinists and toolroom operators working in job shop or production environments are the primary users.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling selection for standard 3/16 inch collet or toolholder systems used in CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a stub-length, small-diameter square end mill.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom operators. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Verify collet or chuck bore matches the 3/16 inch shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable tolerance before cutting. Follow shop SOP and applicable OSHA machine guarding standards when operating milling equipment.
