The ACCUPRO 12185161 is a solid carbide, double-end square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a mill diameter of 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch) and a 4-flute spiral geometry at a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean, accurate cuts in confined workspaces and tight-tolerance features. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance suited to ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The uncoated finish makes it well-suited for applications where coating buildup could affect tolerances. This stub-length tool is typically installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This end mill fits standard 1/8 inch shank toolholders and is used in vertical milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills for slot milling, profiling, and pocketing operations. The centercutting design allows plunge cuts directly into material. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional and climb milling on most machine setups. The stub-length body limits deflection at small diameters, making it appropriate for fine-detail work in hardened or difficult-to-machine materials.
Designed for use in toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Suitable for vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers configured for right-hand rotation with standard collet or end mill holder systems.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine fully powered down and the spindle at rest. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring the tool is seated to the correct depth and the holder is torqued according to the machine manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, particularly at this small diameter where deflection and breakage risk is elevated. Follow all applicable shop safety protocols and machine guarding requirements during setup and operation.
