The ACCUPRO 12185159 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish, it delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to uncoated tooling. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, maximizing value per tool. With a 0.0625 inch (1/16 inch) diameter, 4 flutes, and a 30-degree helix angle, it is suited for finish milling and light slotting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers and users of this tooling.
This end mill is configured as a stub-length tool with a 0.125 inch length of cut and a 1.5 inch overall length, making it well-suited for rigid, close-tolerance work in tight clearance zones. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute geometry and centercutting capability allow it to perform both peripheral and plunge milling operations. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and contouring in steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials on CNC mills and machining centers.
Designed for use in CNC mills, machining centers, and manual mills with a 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter. Shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches for precise tool holder fit.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with small-diameter end mill handling. Secure the shank fully within the collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening to prevent pullout. Avoid excessive runout, as small-diameter carbide end mills are brittle and susceptible to breakage under lateral load. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before initiating a cut.
