The ACCUPRO 12185146 is a double-end square end mill designed for precision milling in tight tolerances and small-feature applications. Built from solid carbide micrograin material, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for fine detail work in hardened steels, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials. The mill measures 0.0313 inches (1/32 inch) in cutting diameter with a 0.0625-inch (1/16-inch) length of cut, a 1/8-inch shank diameter, and a 1.5-inch overall length. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. Four flutes with a 30-degree helix and right-hand spiral flute direction provide efficient chip evacuation in stub-length configurations.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed spindle applications requiring micro-diameter tooling. The stub length-type geometry reduces deflection, making it well-matched to shallow pockets, slots, and contour passes where rigidity at small diameters is critical. The double-end design allows the tool to be flipped when one end reaches end of useful life, extending effective tool life per unit. Machinists working in mold and die, aerospace components, and precision instrument manufacturing will find this tool applicable for fine-feature work within its rated cutting parameters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for 1/8-inch collets and tool holders accepting a 0.1250-inch shank diameter on standard CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling change procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, de-energized state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8-inch shanks and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specification. At 1/32-inch diameter, this tool is highly susceptible to breakage from excessive feed rates, runout, or improper clamping — verify collet and holder concentricity before initiating a cut.
