The ACCUPRO 12185142 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 7/16 inch cutting diameter and a 4-flute configuration, this double-end mill delivers efficient material removal and a clean finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. A 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into workpieces. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill suits a range of milling operations including slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling on steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The double-end design offers two usable cutting ends, extending service life per tool. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC and manual milling machines. The regular-length body and 1/2 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in vertical and horizontal milling setups.
Designed for use in standard 1/2 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC and manual vertical or horizontal milling machines. No specific model compatibility was provided in the product data.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or changing the tool. Secure the 1/2 inch shank fully into the holder to the recommended engagement depth for your toolholder type before torquing the collet or set screw. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and confirm feeds and speeds are appropriate for the workpiece material and coating type.
