The ACCUPRO 12185141 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and composite materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a TiCN coating, it delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide. The cutting diameter measures 0.4375 inches (7/16 inch) with a 0.875-inch (7/8 inch) length of cut, a 0.500-inch shank diameter, and a 4.000-inch overall length. The 40-degree spiral flute helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during aggressive cuts. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and plunging operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration matches standard spindle rotation on vertical and horizontal milling machines and CNC machining centers. The double-end design provides a second cutting end, extending usable tool life before replacement. Regular length classification fits most standard tool holders without requiring extended-reach setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for 1/2-inch diameter tool holders, collet chucks, and end mill holders used on vertical mills, horizontal mills, and CNC machining centers requiring a 7/16-inch diameter square end mill.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the shank. Confirm proper shank engagement depth per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cut designation before initiating a cut.
