The ACCUPRO 12185128 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard material applications. With a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) cutting diameter and a 40-degree helix angle, this double-end tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and clean edge finishes. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts. Four right-hand spiral flutes combine with a right-hand cutting direction to produce consistent results across a range of materials. Center-cutting capability allows for plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, giving the tool added versatility on the floor of a workpiece.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual or automated setups where tight tolerances and repeatable results are required. The double-end design extends usable tool life by providing two cutting ends per tool, making it a practical choice for production environments and job shops running high-volume material removal or finish passes. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for general-purpose milling where coating-specific requirements are not specified.
Designed as a standard-shank square end mill with a 3/8 inch shank diameter, compatible with collets, end mill holders, and tooling systems sized to accept 3/8 inch straight shanks on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the minimum recommended grip depth and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
