The ACCUPRO 12185122 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. Built from micrograin carbide stock, this double-end tool delivers consistent cutting performance across both ends, extending usable tool life. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. At 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) in diameter with a 9/16 inch length of cut, this end mill is sized for slot milling, profiling, and finishing passes in tight geometries. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers or manual mills are the primary users.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling operations in job shops, production machining environments, and tool rooms. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock collet systems common on vertical machining centers and CNC routers. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling on most CNC platforms. The 3 inch overall length keeps deflection low during finishing cuts in shallow-to-moderate depth applications.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock end mill for 3/8 inch collet or side-lock toolholders on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual vertical mills requiring a 7/32 inch diameter square end profile.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following safe toolchanging procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Use a calibrated collet or hydraulic chuck torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for chips or runout before beginning a new operation. Confirm shank diameter tolerance compatibility with the collet bore before clamping.
