The ACCUPRO 12185094 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 15/64 inch (0.2344 inch) cutting diameter and a 40-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) finish provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in dry or high-speed cutting conditions. The double-end configuration and centercutting capability make it suitable for plunging, slotting, and peripheral milling operations. Solid micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance in demanding production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is sized for light to medium milling passes in machining centers, CNC knee mills, and manual mills equipped with 1/4 inch collets or ER toolholding systems. The stub length classification and 1/2 inch length of cut make it well suited for shallow pockets, slots, and profiling cuts where rigidity is critical and tool deflection must be minimized. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration follow standard industry convention for the majority of vertical machining center setups.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter with ER, R8, or equivalent collet toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in an e-stop state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully within the collet or chuck to the minimum recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before use, and confirm runout at the cutting diameter before beginning production cuts.
