The ACCUPRO 12185054 is a double-end, square-profile solid carbide end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. Built from micrograin carbide with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish, it delivers hardness and wear resistance suited for ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/32-inch cutting diameter and 1/16-inch length of cut make it well suited for fine detail work, engraving, and micro-slot milling. With a 30-degree helix angle, spiral flute geometry, and centercutting capability, it handles both plunge and peripheral cutting. The 1/8-inch shank accommodates standard collets found on CNC mills and micro-machining centers. Installation and operation are performed by machinists and CNC technicians.
This end mill fits micro-milling and engraving operations in production and toolroom environments. Its stub-length configuration provides rigidity when working with difficult-to-machine materials or at high spindle speeds. The double-end design extends tool life by offering two usable cutting ends before replacement. Typical applications include micro-slot cutting, detail contouring, and fine finishing passes on metals, plastics, and composites where a small-diameter, high-precision tool is required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collets or compatible toolholders accepting a 0.1250-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or changing the tool. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cutting operation, as micrograin carbide is brittle and sensitive to excessive runout or improper clamping.
