The ACCUPRO 12184761 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, slots, and complex three-dimensional profiles. Built from micrograin solid carbide stock, this single-end tool measures 0.1094 inches in diameter with a 0.1875-inch length of cut and a 1.5-inch overall length. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life across a range of workpiece materials. The 40-degree helix angle and four-flute spiral geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments rely on this style of end mill for finish passes and die-mold work.
This stub-length ball end mill suits applications where a compact tool profile is needed to minimize deflection and maintain tight tolerances. It is well suited for finish milling of hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials where TiCN coating provides the necessary thermal and abrasion resistance. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining center spindles. Its 0.125-inch shank diameter fits common collet systems used on vertical machining centers and high-speed routers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill replacement for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collets or tool holders accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended grip length and torque the retention nut to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
