The ACCUPRO 12184707 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.7874 inch (20 mm) mill diameter and a 1.4961 inch (38 mm) length of cut, this tool delivers consistent performance in contour milling, die work, and complex 3D surface finishing. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN coating extends tool life by reducing friction and wear during high-speed cuts. Machined from micrograin solid carbide, this end mill holds tight tolerances across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This ball end mill is suited for CNC milling centers handling precision profiling, slotting, and finishing cuts on molds, dies, and aerospace or general metalworking components. The 20 mm shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in vertical and horizontal machining centers. With a 101 mm overall length and regular length classification, it is a practical fit for standard-reach applications where rigidity is a priority. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in machine shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
Designed as a standard single-end ball end mill with a 20 mm shank diameter, compatible with ER collet chucks, Weldon side-lock holders, and hydraulic toolholders sized for 20 mm shanks on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in E-stop before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended clamping depth in the toolholder to minimize runout and maximize rigidity. Verify tool offset and diameter compensation values in the CNC control before initiating a cutting program.
