The ACCUPRO 12184705 is a single-end ball end mill designed for contour milling, profiling, and 3D surface finishing in metalworking applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers high rigidity and wear resistance across demanding cutting conditions. It carries an AlTiN coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The 0.75-inch diameter cutting end, 1.5-inch length of cut, and 4-flute geometry support efficient material removal with a quality surface finish. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production machining, and tool-and-die environments.
This ball end mill is suited for milling ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where thermal resistance and edge retention are critical. The 0.75-inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter for direct collet or end mill holder mounting. With a 4.0-inch overall length, the tool fits standard vertical machining centers, horizontal mills, and CNC routers equipped to accept 3/4-inch tooling. It is a single-end tool, meaning it is replaced rather than reindexed when worn.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and similar equipment accepting 3/4-inch shank end mills held in collet chucks, ER collets, or end mill holders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the tool. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended gauge line in the toolholder and that the holder is torqued per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; a chipped or worn ball profile will degrade surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
