The ACCUPRO 12184692 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision contouring, profiling, and 3D milling operations. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool carries a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating that reduces friction and extends cutting life compared to uncoated carbide. With a 40-degree helix angle and four right-hand spiral flutes, it promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. This mill is suited for CNC machining centers where tight tolerances and consistent tool life are required.
This ball end mill is used in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments for die and mold work, cavity milling, and contoured surface finishing. The 0.625-inch diameter and 1.25-inch length of cut make it a practical choice for medium-depth profiling passes. The 3.5-inch overall length keeps overhang manageable for rigidity-critical applications. It is typically installed on CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
Designed for use in standard CNC end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 0.625-inch straight shank. Suitable for machining steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened materials where TiCN coating performance is appropriate.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician using an appropriate end mill holder or collet chuck rated for the 0.625-inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before changing tooling. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm acceptable concentricity before beginning a cut. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
