The ACCUPRO 12184676 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, moldmaking, and general machining applications. With a 0.4724-inch (12 mm) cutter diameter and a 4-flute spiral geometry, this single-end tool delivers consistent chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The 40-degree helix angle supports aggressive yet controlled cutting action, reducing chatter at moderate to high spindle speeds. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, the 12184676 holds tight tolerances over the full 0.9843-inch (25 mm) length of cut. The uncoated finish makes it a straightforward option when coatings are unnecessary or when regrinding is anticipated.
This ball end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual knee mills performing 3D contouring, profiling, slotting, and finishing passes on molds, dies, and complex curved surfaces. Its regular-length configuration and 12 mm shank diameter make it compatible with standard ER and side-lock toolholders found in most production and job-shop environments. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction follow conventional milling orientations. The 76 mm overall length keeps the tool rigid for general-depth applications where extended reach is not required.
Designed as a standard single-end ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines equipped with toolholders accepting a 12 mm shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth in a properly sized collet or toolholder before tightening to the holder manufacturer's specification. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tools. Never exceed the tool's rated depth-of-cut or feed parameters for the workpiece material being machined.
